Our Spanish Wines by Denominations of Origin





    Marfil Classic 2002 - Made from Pansa Blanca grapes, a key varietal of the Alella Region, this white wine features aromas of white flowers and green apples with occasional hints of spice. It finishes with refreshing acidity making it an ideal summer wine. It pairs well with raw or roasted oysters, sea urchin roe, artichokes and asparagus, as their bitter flavor will augment the aromas and tastes of the wine.

  • Baloiro 2004 - 100% Mencia; Dusty cocoa and tar with beautiful notes of blueberries, cherry pie, licorice and violet candy. Red fruit stands out against the earthy notes. The palette is verdant and spicy reflecting the savory herbal notes in the nose. Medium weight with great tannins.


  • Ossaria Airen 2006 - Pale yellow color, with green slices, brilliant and attractive. In the nose it is intense banana and nutmeg appears, very fresh and long. In the mouth light, quite smooth aromatic and lasting finish. Serve at 48°F with any kind of seafood, Paella or other rice meals.
  • Ossaria Crianza 2003 - Intense cherry red with hints of matt purple. Ripe fruit with notes of vanilla of a backdrop of Spice. In the mouth structured, round and tasty with a big finish, proud of its origin. Serve at 67° F with Lamb, Cheeses, Cochifrito and Meat Dishes.
  • Ossaria Tempranillo 2006 - Intense black berry, red with hints of violet. Powerful and fruity on the nose, reminiscent of fruits of the forest. In the mouth structured, round and tasty with a big finish, proud of its origin. Serve at 67°F with Lamb, Cheeses, Spanish omelet and Spanish Paella
  • Ossaria Tempranillo Reserva 2002 - This structured, harmonious red showing mineral, plum, and cherry with hints of matt purple. Ripe fruit with notes of vanilla of a backdrop of spice. In the mouth structured, round and tasty with a nice long finish, proud of its origin Serve at 67° F with Lamb, Cheeses, Cochifrito and Meat Dishes



  • Augustus Trajanus 1997 - Named in the honor of the revolutionary and victorious Roman emperor, Trajanus is a wine of great balance and elegance. It is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Its aroma reveals the evolution of the ripe Cabernet and Merlot grape varieties, with hints of leather, tobacco, spices, and cacao. On the palate it presents a silky, full-bodied flavor that has been conceived to go with meals rather than to be drunk on its own. After each grape variety is aged separately in French oak barrels for eight months, the wine was placed in tanks and blended, after which it was aged in oak barrels for an additional six months. This red blend is perfect with creamy, rich cheeses, currants, tomatoes, beef, lamb and duck dishes, pork and veal, fish and shellfish such as trout, bass, mussels and shrimp, and vegetables such as squash, carrots and broccoli and Portobello mushrooms. This wine received a Gold Medal from the El Pais Wine Guide (Spain). Limited availability.
  • Augustus Merlot 2001 - This red wine presents an agreeable, intense garnet color with violet shades. On the palate, it reveals the strength and structure of its youth and its pronounced varietal characteristics. It is suitable for both winter and summer, and it adapts to a wide variety of different dishes. This wine goes well with meats, cold cuts, cheese, grilled fish and Mediterranean cooking. This wine received a Silver Metal from El Pais Wine Guide (Spain), Best Buy Rating from El Mundo (Spain), a 90 point rating from Guia Sibaritas (Spain) and an 85+ point rating from Guia Penin (Spain).
  • Augustus Merlot 2002 - This red wine presents an agreeable, intense garnet color with violet shades. On the palate, it reveals the strength and structure of its youth and its pronounced varietal characteristics. It is suitable for both winter and summer, and it adapts to a wide variety of different dishes. This wine goes well with meats, cold cuts, cheese, grilled fish and Mediterranean cooking.   • Heretat Val Ventos Cabernet Sauvignon 2000 - This wine was aged 12 months in American oak barrels. The color is ruby red with intense aromas of fresh red currants, plum and aromatic herbs. This wine is excellent with creamy, rich cheeses, currants, tomatoes, beef, lamb and duck dishes, pork and veal, fish and shellfish such as trout, bass, mussels and shrimp, and vegetables such as squash, carrots and broccoli and Portobello mushrooms. This wine won a Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2002, a Bronze Medal at the International Wine Challenge 2004, and a Bronze Medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2002.
  • Joan Raventos Roseli Cava Brut Non-vintage - This Cava Brut uses the Methode Champenoise for its elaboration. With the exception of the addition of Chardonnay, it uses Catalan varietals. The addition of Chardonnay increases the complexity of this aromatic Cava. Hints of pear, apple and tropical fruits are noted. This cava is aged 24 months in the bottle before it is released. The Wall Street Journal rated this a 'best value' cava.
  • Heretat Val Ventos Chardonnay 2002 - Sheltered by the Montserat mountains the Chardonnay vines of our Alba Vineyard are the source of this clear, cool, and sophisticated wine. This full-bodied 100% Chardonnay has a bouquet that evokes exotic fruits and a finish that lingers on the palate. This wine is perfect with creamy, smooth cheeses such as Gouda, havarti and mozzarella, with fruit such as apple, pear and mango. Excellent with poultry, pasta in cream sauces, pork loin, clams, lobster, shrimp and scallops. The perfect vegetables with this wine are avocado, squash and corn. This wine won a Gold Medal at the Cataluna Wine Competition GIROVI 200, a Silver Medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 1999, a Silver Medal at the World Wine Championships, Chicago 1997, a Bronze Medal at the International Wine Challenge 2004, a Bronze Medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2002, and a Bronze Medal Chardonnay of the World, France 2000.
  • Heretat Val Ventos Merlot 2001 - Aged 6 months in new oak barrels, this wine's good body and bouquet has the fruity taste of raspberry and blackberry. This wine is perfect with creamy, rich cheeses, cherries and figs, prime rib, lamb chops, roasted chicken, salmon and shellfish, and vegetables such as eggplant, carrots, pumpkin and squash. This wine won a Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial Bruxelles 2004, a Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial Bruxelles 2002 and is rated as a best Buy by Guia Grupo Gourmets (Spain).
  • Heretat Val Ventos Merlot Rosat - This award winning Rose wine has a very intense flavor is fruity and fresh with a good acid balance. The classification given to this wineis due to the fact that it was harvested at maximum ripeness, alowing full extraction of the best taste and color qualities of this variety. The crushing time is twelve hours. Joan Raventos presents this select rose with its exceptional silky, round fine and fleshy qualities.
  • Heretat Val Ventos Tempranillo 2001 - This wine offers a lot of violet shades. It has the aroma of raspberry and gooseberry, with a reminiscence of roasted coffee. Its tastes fresh balanced with a pleasant and aromatic finish. The wine is perfect with red fruits and berries, brie cheese, wild rice, beef and lamb, poultry, pasta with tomato sauce, pork and veal dishes, fish and shellfish, vegetables and mushrooms.
  • Heretat Val Ventos Vina Bordoy 2001 - This wine is a red blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Merlot. This wine offers a lot of violet shades. It has the aroma of raspberry and gooseberry, with a reminiscence of roasted coffee. Its tastes fresh balanced with a pleasant and aromatic finish.   • Juve y Camps Cava Vintage 2001 - This is an excellent Cava made from the free-run juice of the three traditional grape varieties Parellada, Macabeo, and Xarel.lo, grown in the High Penedes. This sparkling wine is aged in bottle for a minimum of 30 months before being disgorged and released. The dosage includes a little sugar, giving the wine extra depth and richness. A subtle "old gold" in color, elegant, soft and dry - but not aggressively so- with small persistent bubbles, excellent length and great finesse.

  • Saniger Cava Brut 2004 - 45% Xarel-lo, 40% Macabeo, 15% Perellada; Aged for a minimum of 28 to 30 months; released as a vintage Reserva ready for drinking. Straw yellow color, small bubbles, fruity bouquet exhibiting some ageing character. Balanced fruit and acidity through to the finish. Ideal aperitif and drinking for all occasions.



  • Granbazan Ambar Albarino - 100% albarino--Freshness evident on the nose, with citrus charachers. Banana and peach characters are slightly presented. Medium body with a nice crispness, and a firm citrus-influenced, lemon acidilty. A little grip through to a strong finish.


  • Campos Goticos Roble Tempranillo 2004 - 100% Biodynamically grown Tempronillo. 6 Months in French oak barrels.
  • Alidis Crianza 2001 - Tempranillo grapes. Ripeness and power. A thick texture and chewy tannins give this red a monolithic aspect, but there's a core of plum, prune and blackberry fruit,and the coffee-scented oak is well-integrated. Impressive but reserved. Best after 2005.



  • Arviza Crianza Rioja 2001 - Tempranillo grapes. Bright cherry red. Intense fruit aroma especially with hints of mature strawberry and raspberry, with subtle oak. Aromas of vanilla, coconut and myrtle. Smooth full and dry with soft tannins, long on the palate with subtle oak flavours.
  • Arviza Reserva Rioja 2001 Tempranillo grapes. Ruby red with tinges of oak. Complex with mature cherry and red currant aroma and hints of oak and spices especially vanilla. Smooth well rounded, very elegant with an excellent balance, intense fruit flavours and long complex finish.



  • Xavier Clua Millennium 2001 - This wine is a blend of 65% Garnatxa Negre, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Ull de Llebre grapes. This wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (50% new, 50% second year), and in the bottle thereafter until release. It is full-bodied wine with the taste of cherry, raspberry and spice. This red blend is perfect with creamy, rich cheeses, currants, tomatoes, beef, lamb and duck dishes, pork and veal, fish and shellfish such as trout, bass, mussels and shrimp, and vegetables such as squash, carrots and broccoli and Portobello mushrooms.   • Xavier Clua Mas d'en Pol Negre 2003 - This wine is a blend of 60% Garnatxa, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Ull de Llebre and 20% Syrah. This wine is a rich unoaked red full of ripe Mediterranean fruit with sweet round tannins. It is quite full bodied for an unoaked wine with the Syrah in the blend making itself felt - opulent, spicy and with vibrant red fruit. This wine is perfect with creamy, rich cheeses, cherries and figs, prime rib, lamb chops, roasted chicken, salmon and shellfish, and vegetables such as eggplant, carrots, pumpkin and squash.   • Xavier Clua Mas d'en Pol Blanc 2003 - This wine is a blend of 60% Garnatxa Blanca, 20% Chardonnay, 15% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Moscatel. This unoaked white is fermented at low temperature in small stainless steel tanks to keep all of its fresh fruit qualities. It is a rich opulent white full of tropical fruits with hints of dried grass and herbs. Quite full bodied, serve chilled as an aperitif. This wine is perfect with poultry, seafood, white sauce pastas, fresh vegetables, and mild cheeses. Fabulous! Limited availability.
  • Xavier Clua Millennium Dolc 2001 - Dessert wine: This wine comes from 100% Grenache grapes. Each year Xavier Clua leaves some of the Grenache grapes on the vine until November for this late harvest desert wine. After fermentation, it spends 8 months in French oak barrels. The result is an explosion of aromas of berries and plum in every glass. It is ideally paired with dark chocolate but can be consumed on its own. Only 120 bottles imported into the USA.

  • Mas de Bazan Crianza - Intense aroma of grapes and fine oak, appearing in turns; notes of red fruits, spices (clove), vanilla and toffee. With soft attaque, the wine passes quickly on to an acid sensation, being supported by web-structured tannins yet to terminate their development, of great persistency, characterized above all by sour cherries. Blend of Bobal, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Mas de Bazan Rosado - Lifted flavors of ripened fruit are subdued by little hints of strawberry jam. The delicate flavors persist throughout delivering a rich and fresh sensation in the palette. Blend of Bobal and Grenache
