Rheinhessen

  • Schwibinger Dornfelder Weissherbst Mild 2004 -From a family run winery with a 330 year tradition in the town of Nierstein, the mineral-rich red slate soils of the 'rote hang' steep slopes of the riverfront produce some of the greatest wines in the world. Made from 100% Dornfelder grapes, this rose wine impresses with its vibrant color, and its combination of floral and fruit flavors. Its low acidity makes it a great choice for those with sensitive stomachs. The bouquet has cherries and forest berries. The flavor is lightly sweet. The wine pairs well with barbecues and any occasion. Serve chilled.
  • Schwibinger Riesling Auflangen Trocken 2004 - The Auflangen vineyard had a warm climate in 2004. The fermentation process produced a modern wine with peach, citrus, and white raspberry. It is light and refreshing with nice balance. Dry enough for a diabetic there is a hint of sweetness in the aftertaste. The wine pairs well with fish, many spices, and white meats.
  • Huff Riesling Spatlese Trocken 2004 - The Hipping vineyard had a warm climate in 2004. The fermentation process produced a soft fruity wine with lots of peach, a little raspberry, petrol and mild acidity to provide complexity, great depth and finish. The wine stays fresh as you drink it. Dry enough for a diabetic there is a hint of sweetness in the aftertaste. The wine pairs well with fish, many spices, and white meats.
  • Huff Kerner Spatlese 2003 - The Kirchplatte (church plaza) vineyard had a hot climate in 2003. Kerner is an offspring Riesling. The traditional process produced a lush sweet wine with lots of peach and mango. The wine stays fresh as you drink it due to the mild acidity. The wine pairs well with sweet sauces or dessert.

  • Huff Niersteiner Rosenberg 2005 - The Rosenberg (red hill) vineyard had a mild climate in 2005 and cool temperatures at harvest. The traditional fermentation process produced a soft fruity wine with lots of peach and a little tingle from the mild acidity to provide some complexity. The wine stays fresh as you drink it although there is a hint of sweetness in the aftertaste, the wine pairs well with fish, many spices, and white meats.
